Who am I?

Howdy there! My name is Benjamin Peter Bushong. I'm originally from Texas, born in Garland on December 22, 1967 (11 pounds, 13 ounces), to Merton and Carolyn Bushong. I have three brothers (Phil, Paul, and Tom), and one sister (Liz). When I was about 10 months old, we moved to Lucas, Texas, where Mom, Dad, and Liz have lived ever since. That was kind of nice, because I never had to change schools at all or any of that jazz.

I graduated in 1986 from Allen High School, 9th in my class of 218 students, and joined the U.S. Army as an Airframe Repairer (MOS 68G) for four years, intending from the start to attend Warrant Officer Flight Training. After about two years of enlisted service, I decided that I'd had enough, and put in my flight school packet, and was accepted. About a year and a half later (July 1990), I was a Warrant Officer One, flying Chinooks (CH-47D). Past tours include:
